Uni work

The good things about today so far are i didn't run out of petrol before i got to a petrol station and i have a great boss.

I would like to offically say I hate Systems Analysis and design, and I have a feeling it doesn't like me either. Having finally finished my project last night I emailed it to myself at work, so i could print it out and hand it into day for the deadline, only to find once i got to work this morning, it had mutated into an eariler copy. Luckily my boss allowed me to come home and get it. I shall breathe easy once i have handed it in.
I doubt i shall get a very good mark however, as it has been driving me crazy, and has confirmed something that i have known for awhile, i am no good at designing stuff. I am fine making things work gievn instructions but design .......pah.

Back to VB.Net tonight, which i am enjoying.

Only a month more of Uni to go and counting.

Have been talked into doing Race for Life in June, in Ipswich.

ECDL completed and passed. Now debating if I will have the time or the will to start on the advanced given that I enrol at Uni on Friday.

Looking back at Fridays entry i am pleased to report that i got most of the housework done and the plumber seems nice and competant as well as being one of the lecturers here at college and is coming to do the work first weekend after college opens in Jan.

Still need to phone up drains people.

ECDL now going at a pace, having passed 2 more modules today, thats 5 down, 3 to go. Failing to get them all out of the way before Christmas, due to heading up to leeds for digimap training for 3 days next week. (hopefully).

Note to self: chase up staff development.

Anyone fancy doing me some pretty icons for my lj?

I would do the 2005 meme, but don't think i've actually posted enough this year for it to be worth while.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a SPOON either way.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

well it seems that my car has been fixed, but they can't arrange a time for it to be brought back until its been quality checked and they don't seem to work weekends, so its probally going to be Monday or Tuesday unless they are really organised. I'm not feeling hopefully, but i am now starting to get a feel for the bug that the hire company have given me.

In a burst of enthusiasm i've got myself signed up for the gym next to work and have an appointment on tuesday for induction and fitness assessment and then a work out plan, in the hope that this will encourage me to go slightly more.

Just need to work on a healthy diet now.

Livejournal Mood Ring

is worn out.

Sleep when you're dead! Whether it's emotionally or physically, you're exhausted. Have you considered sleeping pills? I took them when I had mono, and they made everything better.

Well, thought i'd better update my journal having not put anything in it since before the gathering.

The Gathering was ok, i've had better and worse. I managed to miss most of the excitement on the saturday, in fact missed almost every thing on the Sat until dark, due to panicing over the ritual. Now have a lot of "fix it" work to do ic.

Had a nice couple of relaxing evening straight afterwards which blunted the shock of going back to work. House is also fairly tidy which I know will come as a shock to a few people.

Had a nice relaxing time at Jon's party, and for once i didn't have to drive anywhere as Chris volunteered to drive us there and back. Thanks Chris.

Work is now starting to pick up as students are starting to return to college. I'm still trying to get used to dealing with different term times and younger students.

Finally got GD background done and hopefully sent off, got my ritual outline done, still got omega downtime to think about, but now have an extra month. hurrah!! Off to see Lords and Ladies this evening. And then i have a weekend at home.

Grass needs cutting so i think i will finally give in and have to buy a lawnmower since my father has failed to come and do it after volunteering. Next door hasn't said a thing about the length of the grass since i've trimmed it even though they did say they would mow it if i cut it down a little.

So much house work to do, so little time. I think this weekend is going to have to be a weekend in, when i get as much housework done as possible and find a home for all my stuff before the LRP stuff comes out again. I'm not doing too badly currently as i can now see the lounge floor again.

The cat seems a little better, i was getting worried as he didn't seem to eat for a couple of days after we got back after last weekend, still not sure if it was the trauma at being left at home with "ze russian" combined with rebellion
or if he was actually ill.

Well finally got to the event, after vowing once again to quit LRP due to the pure hassle of getting the kit packed into the car. I wouldn't mind taking the stuff if I knew we were definitely going to use it and i'd get help moving it without the constant fuss. Kit has to go from A to B and usually has to be carried. This doesn't need to be constantly talked about.

Got to omega found the glade we wanted to use wasn't quite suitable, so gave into pressure and camped a glade down. Just finished setting up our ooc tent when Anne rang from the carpark saying she was loading her kit into the van, and they had space for our stuff, so i got volunteered to empty the car and load the van.

Got back to the glade to find that every one had disappeared and we had another community getting up camp, which unfortunately meant we then didn't have space for Chris and Katie's tent although we managed to find a space for our new IC tent in a corner and it did get used a little. Nic managed to miss the putting up of both tents.

The event itself was good, quite pleased and suprised to have a number of people looking for me to have a chat about various stuff. I wasn't too bothered by the lateness of the downtimes, but didn't have chance to follow up on some points as much as i would have liked and there were some interesting points things in it. Managed once again to be unable to form coherent questions when required. Downtimes to follow.

Due to usual post event faffing was unable to do after event food as suddenly realised it was gone 7pm and we'd wanted to get home at a reasonable time also the baby wipes where buried somewhere in the car.

As I had the couple of days after the event off, and Nic was at work, I was able to get the kit out of the car and put it away in peace. Kit room now has furniture in it which makes the place look so much tidier (currently). Managed to sort out the lounge as well. I just wish it would stay that way.

Tuesday saw the trip back to Aberystwyth, to collect my washing machine and whatever would fit into two cars. I have probably a car load or so left to move plus furniture. It looks like my parents may well have sold the house. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they have, but I will miss the place.

Well, today is a lot better then yesterday, the sun is shining, the pile of classification is slightly smaller (until every thing is moved around again) and i had the good nights sleep in a couple of weeks, after my headache had more or less disappeared.

Got half way into work yesterday, having finally staggered out of bed, before realising i'd not got my glasses on. I then spent most of the day in front of a computer which combined with tired eyes, is what i think, contributed to the niggling headache I had by the time I'd got home.

I had forgotten that Sonja was in town so my nice quiet evening in writing up my greenwood legends background, turned in to a nice
meal and what would have been a good evening in the pub, with various people. Unfortunately i forgot to take the neurofen before I left the house, as i was in shock at how quick the taxi turned up, so I ended up going home early with a splitting headache.

What am I?

Well, finally back in work after a good but tiring weekend.
I woke up this morning as the alarm went off for the first time in about a fortnight, made the mistake of thinking "I'll have 5 more minutes" and then had to drag myself out of bed 3/4 of an hour later in a hurry before realising I'd got an extra half hour as I'm not on the main site this am.

To be honest i'm glad that i have the morning to myself, it means i will have chance to wake up before having to interact with people this afternoon, especially as i'm in charge this pm. I'm sure there will now be lots of people wanting stuff that I can't deal with, but that seems to be the way of the world.

Well having finally found the time to add my first entry, it seems to have disappeared into thin air. Oh well I shall sort it out if i have time over the weekend or next week. Now off to learn how to close the library up, apparently it is slightly more complicated than just throwing the students out and locking the doors
